A Message From Susan

19th December 2011
A Message From Susan
It has been another wonderful few weeks and I can’t believe that we are almost at Christmas again, the weeks seem to be going by faster and faster these days.
After Children In Need I had a much needed rest, going away for a weekend with my friends for a bit of pampering and going out for festive meals with friends and family members to say thank you for all their support.
Last week I did a morning of radio interviews for regional radio, which was great fun. Especially being interviewed by Dingo and Boogie for their Christmas day show, they were very funny and I couldn’t stop laughing throughout the interview, not wanting to give to much away, it’s definitely worth a listen to especially for some of the games we played. I’ve been running around this week trying to buy Christmas presents for my family and friends as well as attempting to wrap. It’s harder each year trying to be original with gifts and think of something that won’t just be put into a cupboard, but’s that is the fun of Christmas shopping for me.
I’m looking forward to Christmas Eve and attending Mass this year- for me that is what Christmas is about and gives me the opportunity to reflect on the past year and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with those closest to me.
I will be spending Christmas Day with my family this year, which I’m very much looking forward to, it is very important to be with those you truly love and my family over the years have given me some of my best memories, so here is to Christmas 2011 and the new memories we will make this year.
Interviews can be heard:
Bauer AM: 20th December
Bauer FM: Dingo & Boogie: 25th December
BBC Radio Scotland Janice Forsyth Show: 31st December
Smooth Radio: 20th December- 31st December and on the Smooth Radio Website

Also a message about her new musical. Dates and Times.

The Scottish News Write-up About Susan's Christmas

Susan Boyle: I’m a gifted wrap star

SUSAN Boyle has been busy wrapping Christmas presents for her family and friends — despite worrying that they will only end up "in a cupboard".

The superstar, 50, admitted she struggles more each year to come up with gift ideas for loved ones.
But she told how she's looking forward to spending a quiet time with relatives after a hectic spell on the road — as "that's what Christmas is all about".
SuBo said: "I've been running around trying to buy presents for my family and friends as well as attempting to wrap. It's harder each year trying to be original with gifts and to think of something that won't just be put into a cupboard, but that is the fun of Christmas shopping for me."
The Britain's Got Talent star — worth £11million — added: "I'm looking forward to Christmas Eve and attending Mass — for me that is what Christmas is about.
"I will be spending Christmas Day with my family which I'm very much looking forward to.
"It's very important to be with those you truly love."
Last month SuBo revealed her top items on her Christmas wish list this year included a tent — to take to T In The Park.
And she also wants a new collar for her cat Pebbles, Apple founder Steve Jobs' biography and a camera to take Christmas snaps with.

CHEERY Susan Boyle blows a kiss to fans as she gears up for Christmas.

The singing superstar merrily posed for pictures outside her modest four-bedroom council house in Blackburn, West Lothian, wearing glasses and a cosy knitted jumper.
In one frame the Scottish singer is seen pumping her fists in jubilation, while in another the 50-year-old waves at the camera.
Subo's decorated hallway indicates she is bang up for a festive knees-up.
No doubt she'll be keeping her fingers crossed Father Christmas comes up trumps with her wish list.
Despite earning shedloads of cash since coming second on Britain's Got Talent nearly three years ago, SuBo only has her eye on a few small things.

Her modest wishes include a tent to take with her to T In The Park and the Downton Abbey box set.Excited ... Susan Boyle salutes fans

Susan Boyle believes her mother’s ghost is with her

December 16th, 2011
Sometimes, when you lose someone close to you, you want some sign that they are there so badly you are willing to believe they’ve come back no matter what. I think this may be the case with Susan Boyle, who lost her mother, and then was catapulted to stardom so quickly. The book Hauntings and Poltergeists: Multidisciplinary Perspectives (edited by James Houran and Rense Lange) suggests that those who lose a close family member find the best way to psychologically deal with the loss is to believe that the person’s spirit is still with them even after death.
SUSAN BOYLE has revealed she believes her home is haunted by her late mother and insisted she has seen her at least once since she died four years ago.
The Scottish star, who became an overnight sensation after appearing on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, was devoted to mum Bridget and was devastated at her death, at the age of 91, in 2007.
It was Mrs Boyle who had inspired her daughter to enter the television show and the singer has often spoken of how she wanted to dedicate her success to her mother.
Now she has insisted she sees her ghost in the former council house they shared in Blackburn, West Lothian.
In an interview yesterday, she said: “The council house is my mother’s house. Her energy is still there. It’s my comfort zone. My mother said, ‘look after my house and look after my cat Pebbles’, and that’s what I did.
“I’ve actually seen my mother in the house. She wasn’t troubled. I think she was letting me know she was all right. There was a lovely smell. Perhaps it was her perfume, I’m not sure.”
She added: “I used to think she’d abandoned me when she died. Maybe she was telling me she hadn’t.”
Ms Boyle, 50, has moved back into the former family home she shared with her brothers and sister from a larger new house she had bought nearby after feeling uncomfortable and lonely.
Bridget’s death in 2007 would deeply affect Susan who stopped singing as she was so grief-stricken. Remembering her mother’s faith in her, however, was to push her to have one last go as a singer.

STEVIEBOY49 VISIT WITH SUSAN

For those of you who haven't been on the Forum recently, I paid a short visit to see Susan earlier this afternoon. For a report and a photo see my thread.....Personal Message from Susan....

The bear (Charlie Bear) is called "Donnie" and was a gift from the London "Meet and Greeters" - Susan and Annette just LOVED it and Susan promises that she will place it in a prominent position along with all her other Teddies!
She couldn't get over how it was called Donnie - it was the closest I could find in the CB catalogue to DO!
Sadie was not there (Mum's house). She had gone shopping.
Susan told me that she was over the moon also because she has just become a Godmother to her niece, Jacquie's new bairn (bonnie lass!), and was interested in which firm had made the bear! (I can guess why!)
Graeme forwarded this message to me on Facebook today.  He had the privilege of visiting with Susan.  He brought gifts from the fan M&G in UK, which included that cute bear called Donnie.

Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle helped get a Christmas fundraising drive off to a flying start as she visited the capital’s airport.
The mezzo-soprano met with pupils from Fox Covert Primary School in Corstorphine to kick off the two-day event.
A choir from the primary school performed carols in the terminal building after being introduced to the star.
Airline staff took part in raffles and visited with Santa to raise money for British Airways Flying Start campaign for Comic Relief.
Moyna Miller, British Airways airport delivery manager, who has co-ordinated the event, said: “We have had tremendous support from Servisair customer service manager Charmain Young, and her team and our local companies who have been generous in donating prizes for the event.
“The most important thing is that we raise as much money as possible for Flying Start to help Comic Relief continue the great work they do in making a lasting difference to some of the most vulnerable people in the UK and throughout the rest of the world.”
The current British Airways fundraising total stands at £2,000,747.for Christmas
