'No Holds Barred' Susan Boyle Documentary Set to Air

ITV are set to screen a 'warts and all' documentary about rags-to-riches singing star Susan Boyle.
The makers of the original My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding show have teamed up again to make a fly on the wall documentary about Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle.  With Boyle set to release her third album, Someone To Watch Over Me, in the coming weeks, the documentary is set to throw her back into the spotlight.
However, this promises to be no sugar-coated documentary, with the makers given access to all aspects of Boyle's life.  It will show her meetings with Simon Cowell, working on her new album and at home in West Lothian, Scotland.  In addition, the documentary will also capture Boyle's difficult moments in what promises to be compulsive viewing.
A source revealed, "It's real no-holds barred stuff and shows all sides of SuBo, including her grumpy moments.
"Even those close to Susan have been shocked at how honest the footage is.
"Production company Firecracker brought back Osca Humphreys — the director of the original My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding show — to follow the singer around for the past three months.
"And he's captured some cracking footage."
50-year-old Boyle was thrust into the limelight following her memorable audition on Britain's Got Talent in 2009.  During the course of the competition, she experienced well-documented ups and downs.  In the end, her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream was an instant success and it remains Britain's best-selling album of all time.  Now on the verge of her third album, following the success of disc number two, The Gift, this is the first time that Boyle has produced new material for two years.  No doubt the upcoming 'in your face' documentary will maximise the chances of further success.
