Party at the Palace
Party at the Palace is fast approaching as aficianados of the Scottish music scene gear up for a treat.
And, your Journal and Gazette will be on hand throughout the weekend as our reporting team of John MacInnes and Iain Russell capture the sights and sounds as they happen live.
Event organiser John Richardson spoke to us us exclusively this week saying: “We’re just putting the final touches to the programme and there will be one or two wee surprises along the way.
“Everything is in place for a music festival with a very distinctive flavour - Scotland. - aWhen one looks at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and how the people got behind the event,I just have a very good feeling that they’re going to rock the whole weekend to the lineup we’ve provided.”
There will be a number of celebrities attending over both days including Susan Boyle, Chris Sherrington (Scottish Judo Commonwealth gold medallist) who’ll be showing off his medal, TV stargazer Russell Grant and STV weather girl, Judith Ralston, to name a few.
Playbugs Zone will provide lots of care for the wee ones among the audience - baby changing facilities, checking sunscreen levels, and ensuring plenty of water with fresh fruit is available for them. There will be around 22 traders attending the ‘Market on the Loch’ with crafts, foods and gifts to suit all tastes.
Organisers have stressed the importance of pre-booking parking via the website to ensure a space is reserved for you in the park n’ ride facility at Oracle on Blackness road. Visit www.partyat
thepalace.co.uk for updates about this.
