SB Tells of Biopic Plan - Story in MSN UK

Susan Boyle tells of biopic plan

The singer, who became an international star after wowing the judges on Britain's Got Talent, told them to "watch this space" for more announcements.
She said: "There are plans in o peration for that, but that's for later on."
It comes as One Chance - the biopic of Paul Potts, who also achieved fame after appearing on BGT - was released with James Corden in the lead role.
Boyle was speaking at a central London press conference to announce the release of her Christmas single - a duet of O Come, All Ye Faithful with Elvis Presley.
All royalties from the song will go to Save The Children.
Boyle, who described it as "awe-inspiring" to sing with one of her childhood heroes, said: "Duetting with Elvis was beyond my wildest dreams. And now that this is able to raise money and help children is simply fantastic."
The singer, who has become an ambassador for the charity, filmed the video for the track at a Glasgow primary school.
She said: "I've had the privilege of spending time with families from a Fast programme - Families And Schools Together - that is run at a school in Glasgow. To see the money raised in action and the difference it makes to these families is wonderful. It really does help people.
"The children from the Fast programme also joined me for the music video. We had a lovely two days and the children were fabulous. They were all stars."
The single, from Boyle's fifth album, will be released on Sunday December 8.
In a recorded message to a central London press conference, music supremo Simon Cowell said he was "proud" of the star.
He said: "No-one of all the people I've met has a bigger heart than you".
The charity's chief executive, Justin Forsyth, said he hoped the song would "highlight the plight of children around the world".

The whole world seemed to fall in love with Susan Boyle last year when she first sang on British TV. She appeared at first to be a living her dream . . . but that's not at how it seemed to her. Mark Phillips has her story:

"Wee granny Cathy and Susan Boyle #subo#loveweecathy #gransarethecutest"

Photo posted on Instagram today. Not very clear, but we believe it was taken last night at The 1912 Cafe in Bathgate. Some members of the Forum were there before going to the Variety Performance tonight, and to their surprise Susan and her PA Sadie showed up! Susan has the same outfit on in this photo that she is wearing in pictures posted by them on the Forum and on Facebook.

SB All Music Review for Home For Christmas (B&N)

Home for Christmas

First review from AllMusic for Home For Christmas. (used by Barnes and Noble)

Review by Heather Phares
Susan Boyle's second holiday album, Home for Christmas, made headlines for its duet with Elvis Presley, "O Come All Ye Faithful." However, there's more to the album than this collaboration; once again, the former Britain's Got Talent winner is in fine voice on songs like "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and the title track. Boyle also shares the spotlight with Johnny Mathis on "When a Child Is Born," and the Overtones on "The Little Drummer Boy." Home for Christmas is a more traditionally festive album than its predecessor The Gift -- there are no Lou Reed or Leonard Cohen covers here -- but that just adds to the familiar glow of these songs and performances.

SB TCC Information

The Christmas Candle

Deep in the heart of the English countryside lies the enchanting village of Gladbury. Legend has it every 25 years an angel visits the village candlemaker and touches a single candle. Whoever lights this candle receives a miracle on Christmas Eve. But in 1890, at the dawn of the electric age, this centuries old legend may come to an end. When David Richmond (Hans Matheson), a progressive young minister, arrives in Gladbury, the villagers discover a new formula for miracles: good deeds and acts of kindness. While David's quest to modernize Gladbury sets him at odds with the old world candlemaker, he finds an unlikely ally in the lovely skeptic, Emily Barstow (Samantha Barks). Now, the fiery candlemaker must fight to preserve the legacy of the Christmas Candle. But when the candle goes missing, the miraculous and human collide in the most astonishing Christmas the village of Gladbury has ever seen. Starring Hans Matheson (Clash of the Titans, Sherlock Holmes), Samantha Barks (Les Miserables), Lesley Manville (Disney's A Christmas Carol), and Sylvester McCoy (The Hobbit Trilogy, Doctor Who). Also starring John Hannah (The Mummy, Four Weddings and a Funeral) and Barbara Flynn (Miss Potter) with James Cosmo (Game of Thrones, Braveheart). And introducing singing phenomenon, Susan Boyle, in her feature film debut.
