Amazon.com has revealed its best-selling albums of all time, with Adele and other British acts claiming some impressive results.
Leading Amazon’s Best-Selling CD albums of All Time are Adele’s 21, Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream and Wicked featuring the original Broadway cast.
At Amazon MP3, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, Mumford & Sons’ Sigh No More and The Lumineers self-titled album top the bestseller list since the store launched in 2007.
While there were a few artists that made both lists, differences between the two are evidence of the varying tastes of Amazon customers of each format. In addition, the lists look very different from the industry’s best-selling albums of all time list, which is topped by Michael Jackson’s Thriller and greatest hits albums from The Eagles and Billy Joel.
