Susan Boyle proves she's a good bet after Ladbrokes job flurry

A good bet: Susan Boyle has sparked excitement at her local Ladbrokes bookmakers after enquiring about a jobRex/Nils Jorgensen

Susan Boyle has sparked a huge flurry of attention at her local bookmakers – but rather than pundits looking to put on bets on whether she’s about to hit the number one spot, instead they're enquiring about a job vacancy at the branch, that SuBo was keen on.
A few weeks ago it was reported that staff in a West Lothian branch of Ladbrokes were left open-mouthed when the globally successful millionaire singer had popped in to ask about a £100-a-week vacancy that had been advertised.
Ladbrokes Deputy manager David Corr said at the time: “Susan Boyle walked into the shop and enquired about the job advertised in our window. We were all in shock.”
But while the bookies was taken aback by Susan’s request, she’s had a great effect on application rates – with bosses receiving ten times the number of average applications for such a position.
A spokesman for Ladbrokes is quoted telling The Sun: “We had an amazing response after new broke that Susan was in the running.
“There’s been a real feel-good factor in the shop since she came to see us.”
Despite her enquiries about the role, which included quizzing the deputy manager all about the part-time role, she later decided against throwing her ring in the hat.
But Ladbrokes have said that any time SuBo wants a job she only needs to drop by and she’ll be met with open arms.
“Punters would love to see her taking their bets and she could even sing Congratulations as they collect their winnings.
“Hopefully she’ll pop in again soon and we’ll give her a free bet on Britain’s Got Talent.”
Susan’s been turning heads as she shuns the lavish celebrity lifestyle to live it up in various locations around where she feels most comfortable – Scotland.
Snapping up some gorgeous vintage clothes and accessories, the star dropped by Vintage Guru in the city’s West End, where she bought a 60s boucle fox trim coat, a Victorian cane, 40s gauntlet gloves and a bracelet.
