SINGING star Susan Boyle has said some comments she receives from Twitter trolls are as hurtful as the bullying she experienced as a child.

She revealed that although most messages she receives are positive, others are as damaging as the bullying she experienced in the past.
"When I do venture online and have a look through Twitter some of the comments are lewd and perverted and they mostly come from youngsters.
"I can't understand why youngsters feel that taunts of an abusive sexual nature are appropriate," she said in a piece for the Huffington Post.
She continued: "The damage cyber bullying does, long term is just as bad as the scars that I still have from people stubbing out cigarettes on my arm and should never be tolerated."
This week, Susan revealed she's finally found love with her first boyfriend at 53.
The singer described her new flame, who is an American doctor, as 'a very nice guy' but remained tight lipped about sharing any further details.
She told The Sun: "It's very early days so we'll see what happens. I hope he comes over.
"I don't want to say any more about who he is right now as that would be unfair on him. All I'll say is we are around the same age and he was a very nice guy."
SuBo, who shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, has struggled with her recent diagnosis of Asperger syndrome.
The I Dreamed A Dream hit-maker was diagnosed with the condition, a form of autism which affects social and communication skills, in 2012 but has admitted she's making good progress two years on.
She revealed to The Mail, it was "definitely getting better" and explained she was learning how to deal with mood swings.
Susan explained: "It's a very difficult subject to talk about because you always feel that eyes are on you, and people view you as different. I like to see myself as someone with a problem, but one I can solve.
"It is definitely getting better. Since the diagnosis I've learned strategies for coping with it and the best one is always to just walk away… I'm getting better at dealing with it because I know what it is.
"I just go away, be myself. Then I come back to you. I always come back."
