Donny Osmond returns to “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday for a duet with Susan Boyle.
They will sing “This Is The Moment” while Kym Johnson, Tristan MacManus, Anna Trebunskaya and Henry Byalikov dance. The song is on Boyle’s new album, “Standing Ovation,” which will be out Nov. 13. ABC said that Osmond is Boyle’s “lifelong idol.” Boyle also sings with Michael Crawford on the album.
Osmond won the ninth season of the ABC dance contest. The results show airs at 8 p.m. Tuesday ahead of the second presidential debate at 9.
On Monday, the nine remaining couples will perform a dance selected by competitors. That show begins at 8 p.m. on WFTV-Channel 9.
What to expect on Monday? You get Apolo Anton Ohno on hip hop, Bristol Palin on rock ‘n’ roll, Emmitt Smith on a bolero, Gilles Marini on a Bollywood routine, Kelly Monaco on a Contemporary routine, Kirstie Alley on the Charleston, Melissa Rycroft on a jitterbug, Sabrina Bryan on disco and Shawn Johnson on a mambo.
Alley seemed winded by just the idea of a Charleston, so it may be a rough week for her. Bollywood will be a challenge for Marini. The coming week should be a good one for Sabrina Bryan, who will have fun with disco.
But Johnson has emerged as the celebrity to watch. She changed the competition this week with her gymnastics-flavored routine with Derek Hough — a dance that judges said was the best in the show’s history. Hough and Johnson have to be considered the front-runners.
What do you think?
