SUSAN Boyle braves the cold in period costume as she films her first ever movie.

The Britain’s Got Talent winner has bagged a role in festive flick The Christmas Candle alongside Les Mis star Samantha Barks and fellow Scot John Hannah.
Dressed in a woolly blanket and plum dress, she smiled as she prepared to film scenes on the Gloucestershire set.
The costume department had curled Susan's hair and secured it with red ribbons for her role as the wife of a church warden.
Susan told reporters she was wearing long johns under her dress to keep out the chill.
She is expected to sing a hymn written especially for the film — which tells the story of a village's beloved Christmas candle and the horror that follows when it disappears.
SuBo, 52, has already starred in a musical written about her life called I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story.
And in November she signed a multi-million-dollar deal with movie giants Fox Searchlight for a Hollywood movie about her life.
Screen greats Glenn Close and Julie Walters have already been tipped for the leading role.
