SuBo is surprise guest at the Five Sisters Zoo

Subo1
The Five Sisters Zoo had a special guest yesterday (Wednesday) when superstar Susan Boyle dropped in for a visit.
The singing sensation from Blackburn visited the popular Polbeth visitor attraction on a day out with one of her friends.
And the 52-year-old, who was taking some time off from rehearsing for her first live Scottish tour which begins next month, was delighted to get up and close with some of the zoo’s lemurs.
“I’m just up for a visit as I wanted a day out to relax between rehearsals,” Susan told the Courier. “I believe in helping with things if I can and I want to lend my support to the zoo after the tragic fire that burnt down the tropical house.
“It’s so nice here and it’s great fun coming down to spend some time with all the different animals.
“ I love animals, especially lemurs, they are so cute. I’m planning on adopting a lemur. I don’t know what I’ll call it — maybe Subo, you never know.”
