Britain’s Got Talent 2013: Susan Boyle advises this year’s finalists, “Don’t let your nerves get the better of you!”
June 2nd, 2013 by TV Writer Lynn.
Former Britain’s Got Talent finalist Susan Boyle, who has of course gone on to enjoy a hugely successful career since her time on the show, has offered some advice to this year’s BGT finalists…
And one of the things Susan advised the hopefuls was to try to avoid allowing their nerves to get the better of them.
She made her remarks while speaking to OK! magazine, and began by saying, “Enjoy every single moment…
“Try not to let the nerves get the better of you, get plenty of rest, practise your act so it’s the best it can be and enjoy it.
“You never know what might happen, I’m living proof of that!”
However, Susan also cautioned that irrespective of how well things go after BGT, wannabes should always be aware they may well have a shelf-life.
She explained, “[Life] has changed for the better without a shadow of a doubt…
“Sometimes I still have to pinch myself that all of this has happened and in such a short space of time.
“The problem is, and I think many people in my industry can understand this, because everything happened so rapidly, you worry that it will go just as quickly and I don’t want my life now to end.”
52 year old Susan concluded by saying, “I love singing and performing to fans.”
Here’s a reminder of the moment that Susan first came to the world’s attention on BGT…
