Susan Boyle unveils family tartan ahead of pipe band championships
Susan's nephew Alan Boyle has created the special tartan outfit in partnership with the Kilt Studio, Bathgate and the help of Sew You, Livingston.
On Saturday, thousands will participate in the competition as well as the 43rd Calor Scotland West Lothian Highland Games.
The EFR British Pipe Band Championships, the second biggest pipe band championship in the world and the first major of the year, is set to attract around 4000 competitors.
Alex Linkston, who is on the organising committee said: “It is going to be a fantastic day for all the family. This is the first time the two events have run on the same day and there will be a real atmosphere in Bathgate.
“With Susan Boyle as our chieftain, very much looking the part, it’s also meant incredible exposure for our event. We are all looking forward to it.”
