Olympic gold medallist Katherine Grainger has outlined her dreams for Scotland as part of an inspirational new project.
The Dalai Lama, singer Susan Boyle and actor Alan Cumming have also contributed to charity book Hopes of a Nation.
Rower Katherine said: “Let’s be proud of what we have and whom we are but look forward to how much more we can be.”
Callum Smith gave up his job with a charity to work on the book to raise cash for the Children’s Hospice
Association Scotland.
Callum, 44, of Dumbarton, said: “I want to inspire people to make their lives better and strive for change.”
The book – backed by RBS – has been five years’ work for Callum. He hopes it will be published next year.
Anyone can contribute to the book, whether they live here or are visitors charmed by our country.
Callum hopes to encourage every school in the country to run competitions for pupils as part of Hopes of a Nation.
