Susan Boyle is expecting a backlash from John Lennon and Pink Floyd fans.
The former Britain's Got Talent star has recorded versions of the Beatles' legend's 'Imagine' and the psychedelic rockers' Wish You Were Here for her new album Hope and she admits creating her own interpretations of the iconic songs is a "risk".
She told Scotland's Herald newspaper: "I hope I have done them justice in my own way.
"John Lennon's Imagine was one of the hardest to record, not because of the music or the vocals but because I wanted to do his song justice. Of course the die-hard Lennon fans will probably criticise but I hope that people like my personal take on the song."
The album also includes versions of Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon And Garfunkel, and Sarah McLachlan's Angel and the Wild Horses hit-maker says every track was chosen because of their inspirational and hopeful messages.
She added: "I themed this album around inspiration and hope because those are two elements we all need in our life to drive us forward and inspire us to go out and capture our dreams - they worked for me."'
