Susan Boyle on Wednesday in San Diego...when the spotlight shone on her, I just exclaimed, "Oh, she's beautiful!". That was a lovely dress indeed. She had two more outfit changes during the night. It was sad to hear that she woke up with a sore throat that morning and eventually had to cancel her Santa Barbara show due to a viral infection. I'm sure she didn't want things to unfold this way π₯ Everyone in that theatre had nothing but love for this lady from Scotland, even through the rough patches, we understood and applauded. She was most comfortable and in her element during her more heartfelt songs, and we in the audience felt that and knew that was when she was at her best. Sorry about this long account - this is the only place I could think of posting itπ I just hope Susan recovers quickly and proceeds with the tour as soon as she is strong and able. We'll be praying for you!ππ#SusanBoyle #SanDiego #balboatheatre #SuBo #bestrong #greatscot

What Lora posted on Susan's Facebook page is below. It is about attending Susan's incredible San Diego opening night concert. She posted about the amazing show and her feelings at seeing Susan perform to a sold out audience even though Susan was ill. Read her comments below:
- Lora Driscoll Sorry but my computer is acting up.
- Hi Susan, I saw your concert in San Diego last night. You were incredible, simply amazing. Even more, you were amazing as you sang to a sold out crowd who was on their feet more than in their seats. You were inspirational as you went on to finish the concert despite being ill. Anyone who had the incredible good fortune of attending the concert witnessed a Star who went on with the show. Susan, I want you to know that I stood outside the stage door waiting to see you and to be closer to you. This coming from someone who sat in the fourth row smack dab in the center. As you sat on a seat next to the piano everyone had their arms in the air. I gave you a simple wave and you blew a kiss. I want to believe it was directed at me. Actually I do believe it was directed at me. I even left an envelope for you and the hotel host said he would do his best to get it to you. Even though he first said he didn't know who you were and when he checked for your reservation he did not find your name. DUH!!! I am going to drive to Costa Mesa to see you again on the 16th. You will not know who I am, but I will forever remember that kiss that was blown to me. Would love to hear from you. But so would everyone else on the planet love to hear from you. Just know that you change people's lives....even when sick. All I can say is... WOW!!! Wow Wow Wow! You own a small part of my heart, along with half of America. Take care. With love and respect.
Lora Driscoll BTW, I stood outside with about 300 other admirers. When we were told that you had already left most of us stayed because we thought he was just trying to get rid of us. We were determine to meet you. I wanted to get a ticket for a 'Meet and Greet' but never found them on sale. Cheers!
This is what Lora posted on my Facebook time line today:
I read all of the postings but did not read any written after your opening in San Diego. I posted one and would like to share a version of it here:
I saw your concert in San Diego last night. You were incredible, simply amazing as you sang to a sold out crowd who was on their feet more than in their seats. I think the first standing ovation, when you walked out on the stage, lasted for several minutes. Anyone who had the incredible good fortune of attending the concert witnessed a Star who, for the sake of her fans, went on to finish the show despite being ill. Susan, I want you to know that I and about 300 others stood outside the stage door waiting to see you. After about 30 or 45 minutes we were told that you had to leave to recuperate.
Believe me when I say this crowd of fans came to see YOU. To see a woman who has overcome challenges that few can totally understand, challenges that make you our hero. We all have challenges, but you have broadcast across the world that those challenges do not define who we are and have nothing to do with success. And it is because of your bravery that this audience was not the least bit disappointed because you couldn't reach a few high notes. The crowd watched in awe as you carried on to the end. You deserved the three standing ovations you received at the end. They would have continued had they not lowered the curtain. Susan you are our hero and not a single person was the least bit disappointed.
We came to see our hero, Susan Boyle, in person.
Just know that you change people's lives....even when sick. You own a small part of my heart, along with half of America. Take care and I will see you in Costa Mesa. Hopefully from the center seat in the fourth row just like in San Diego.
With love and respect.

I posted the post below to Lora and others on Susan's Facebook page, in reply to the wonderful comments that were made to Susan. I also noticed some were talking about M&Gs and I thought I would give a little information about Susan Boyle's fans sites, my blogs and M&Gs. So I replied with my post below. Lora Driscoll's post is below mine.
My post on Susan Boyle's Facebook page:
To fans of Susan Boyle: Wonderful comments to Susan. Why not post them on one of the fans sites for Susan: the main one is SBFII http://susan-boyle.com/ and http://tommyusa-susanboyleisamazing.webs.com/ Both have been around since 2009 when we first met Susan. Great information, videos and etc.. on both sites. Also can visit my blog: http://graysea-susanboyle.blogspot.com/ Everyone can follow Susan's activities on these sites. The M&Gs are put on by fans all over the world and everyone is invited where ever they are held. Usually held before an event at a restaurant near theater. Some areas like N.E meet on a regular schedule just to chat about their favorite singer. The fan symbol we all use is a red scarf to honor Susan and to show her we are there for her. There are many other fan sites to join and thousand's of videos covering Susan's performances and events. Worth your while to join the free fans sites to follow Susan's glorious journey as a professional singer. Enjoy!,
