SCOTS singing sensation Susan Boyle kicked off her US tour in California on Wednesday night, telling fans: "Not bad for a wee girl from Scotland, is it?"
SuBo performed her first concert ever in the States to a sell out audience at the Balboa Theater in San Diego.
Susan, 52, will travel across southern America, stopping off at cities including Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Pheonix.
But the singer, who shot to fame five years ago on Britain's Got Talent, told how the tour is nothing short of a dream come true.
Boyle wowed the American crowd despite battling a nasty throat condition. The singer was struck down by with a sore throat hours before she was due to take to the stage.
Admitting she was poorly, the superstar said: "Typical, the day I open the tour I wake up with a sore throat.
"But we British people carry on.
"As you can hear I have a bad throat so I would appreciate your help tonight."
A source close to Susan, 53, added: "It wasn't great timing but Susan never lets her fans down so she just cracked on with the show."
It's not yet seven years ago since Boyle left Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan uncharacteristically speechless with her Britain's Got Talent audition.
They were stunned and the shy, middle-aged singer became globally famous overnight.
It was America who lapped Susan up the most and last night she began the US leg of her first ever world tour.
Dressed in a beautiful champagne-coloured gown, SuBo had the sell out audience in stitches when she ridiculed Cowell with hand actions as THAT audition was played to the crowd.
Susan started the show - which features 28 songs - with her own hit, Out Here On My Own.
Tunes including Somewhere Over The Rainbow, The Winner Takes It All, You Raise Me Up and Oh Happy Days, followed. Belted out perfectly - despite her illness.
In the second half, Susan, who famously still lives in her home town of Blackburn in Scotland, changed I to a stunning blue frock. She also wore statement "bling" jewels.
And after thanking ITV show BGT for catapulting her to fame, she took another pop at Cowell, Piers and Amanda Holden for telling get back in 2007 that she might have a chance of stardom.
She mimicked their voices and lifted her boobs when talking about Amanda - alluding to the actress' pert cleavage.
Susan won several standing ovations before performing an encore in a classy black dress with green feathers.
Her final song was I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables.
Before belting it out, she said: "The song I'm about to sing got me in a whole lot of trouble."
And just a little bit of global fame, too.
