and for those interested, here is a new article with Santorum talking about the movie...QUOTE: “Be inspiring, be uplifting, be helpful,” he said. “That’s what people are looking for. They want to be inspired. They want hope.” END QUOTE - sounds like he's talking about Susan doesn't it?

Coco Chanel's AvatarOkay, here's a little report. First let me say that I got up earlier than I normally do, so after I got home from the reunion, I finished watching the Cardinals - Cubs game and fell asleep while doing so. I don't know where all the time has gone, but I first had to see what people were talking about, so I found the two pictures. I must have done something wrong because the picture did not transfer over with the quote.

The session began on time at 8:45 AM. RS was introduced and began a very well thought out presentation about the EchoLight company which is just a year old and he has been CEO since June. He said that EchoLight was asked just SIX WEEKS ago to distribute the film in the U.S. Don't remember if it was Pinewood Studios or not, but their name was brought up about being the company who did the film as we all know. I won't be able to tell you exactly what he said, but I'll do my best using my own words. He talked about Hollywood and the influence it has on both young and old, but especially the young. EchoLight wants to produce films that are wholesome, inspirational, and family oriented. He feels we need an alternative to the other kinds of media out there and hopefully will influence a more positive approach to life. I hope this gives you some idea of what he was talking about. I'M HOPING WE CAN GET HIS PRESENTATION ON LINE. I was told it SHOULD be available. I have someone to contact who will help me find it.

He talked a little about the movie and then we saw the "sneak peak". We saw scenes from different parts of the movie. Some of the actors/actress talked about their part in the movie and the best scene of all (to me) was Mr. Hopewell in the middle isle of the church with the new minister, telling him about his wife (Susan) who was in the front of the church singing (it was soft) with the organist. He said, "She has the voice of an angel." It was a lovely presentation. This was more than you get in a trailer of the movie. RS talked more after the movie and answered a few questions. I'm not positive whether he mentioned Susan before the movie or not, but if he did, it would have been about it being her movie debut. I know he realizes that she is a big star because after the time he talked a lot about the promotion of the movie. He said Susan would be coming over here to do interviews and appear on some TV show promoting the film. (Maybe she'll be promoting her CD, too.) He said something about it being her first appearance in the U.S. I blurted out, "yes, she has." He said, "oh". If he said anything else, I don't remember. He talked about TCC being shown in 400 - 500 theaters nationwide and a list of theaters will be on TCC website. I think we may already know this. Every chair in the room had a very nice flyer on it. (RIK would want me to scan it for all to see) I don't know hwo, but I'll find out from some techie here. The flyer is on very nice heavy paper. Max Lucado's name at the top. The title of the movie in under his name. Following are the names of 4 of the stars and last is "and introducing" Susan Boyle. Then there's a scene from the movie and at the bottom is Believe the Miracle, followed by November 22. On the other side are two pictures at the top (nice sized). The one on the left shows a little boy talking to the candlemaker who is holding a lit candle. The other picture is of SUSAN with a little snow falling on her. (I'd love to squeeze or hug her). Below the pictures is "From Bestselling Author, Max Lucado, Comes The Christmas Candle, A Timeless Holiday Film for the Entire Family." This takes up three lines. Below is the SYNOPSIS in which there are two paragraphs. Then the word CAST, followed by all cast members with the movies they have played in. Last sentence is: And introducing singing phenomenon, Susan Boyle in her feature film debut.

I think RS said they were doing similar "sneak Peeks" in 30 other cities. Hope this is right.

That's all folks unless I think of something else I may have forgotten. I hope I get an "A" for this because it has taken me a long time to do it. LOL I really enjoyed doing it. It keeps my brain active.

Also posted"

By the way, the presentation lasted just a little over an hour. It only took a half hour to get there (because it was Saturday) and to go home, so I was back home by 10:30 in time to go to the reunion.

I THINK, I also told RS the name of her CD when he mentioned her singing the Miracle Hymn in the movie and on her CD. So you see I opened my mouth twice during his presentation.

Will post pictures later.

And more:
There was nice applause, but don't remember anything else. I was too busy trying to get my picture taken with RS. He hope we all will go out and support the movie. No question about that!! Right??

Once again, I want to thank everyone for responding to my post about the TCC "sneak peek" I attended yesterday. It was so nice to get your complimentary remarks.

And more:
I forgot this remark when I asked RS how long will the movie play in theaters. It should play through December as long as it is doing well. Those are my words as I interpreted the way he said it.

And more:
Sorry I almost forgot to reply to your post. Yes, the room was full. People were standing against the walls around the room. I had an excellent seat in the 1st row close to where RS was speaking. I almost forgot one of the reasons for moving from the 2nd row. A real tall man came along and sat right in front of me.  Short people don't like that!!!

Flyer posted by Canadian Bill:
Thanks once again to Coco Chanel for sending us these scans of both sides of the flyer that was handed out at the preview she attended....

The text probably isn't readable, but nothing new. Worth noting the featured photo of Susan, and in writing about the actors, they end by saying: 'and introducing singing phenomenon Susan Boyle in her feature film debut'.

Thank you Coco Chanel and CBill.
