Scottish star Susan Boyle Dreamed a Dream, and now the singer is seeing one of them come true, after being asked to perform for Her Majesty the Queen.
The Blackburn-based star is to headline the celebratory pageant at Royal Windsor Horse Show, as part of the celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this year.
Susan will perform at the equestrian event alongside fellow singing superstars, Canadian crooner Michael Buble, and Welsh opera star Katherine Jenkins.
A source told The Sun: "This show will be a major highlight of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Susan is a huge global star and it's a great booking for such a prestigious event."
The event, which is titled The World Comes To Windsor, will take place in May this year and will be shown on TV so those not lucky enough to be in the audience will get a chance to see the concert too.
Being asked to perform is a huge honour for Susan, who shot to fame after coming second on Britain’s Got Talent 2009.
After her time on the show, Susan went on to forge a hugely successful music career, becoming a global star and performing for the likes of Pope Benedict XVI, during his visit to Scotland in 2010.
Meanwhile, TV viewers will get the chance to see the new series ofBritain’s Got Talent when it returns to STV in spring.
New judges Alesha Dixon and David Walliams have teamed up with old-hands Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden as they travelled the length and the breadth of the country on the hunt for the next big star.
