Susan Boyle's big brother bids for fame with new single

Move over, SuBo... here comes SuBro.
Susan Boyle’s 57-year-old big brother Gerry is releasing an album of his own.
He has acted as 50-year-old SuBo’s unofficial spokesman since she shot to global fame on Britain’s Got Talent.
photoBut now Gerry is aiming for stardom with “romantic” single All of my Days.
He says he’s not trying to cash in on the I Dreamed a Dream singer’s fame – but won’t rule out a duet.
He said: “It’s for the public to decide who is the better singer out of me and Susan but it’s definitely not a competition.
“You can’t just jump on stage and start singing just because your sister has become famous.
“Susan is 100 per cent behind me. She’s been shoving me to do this for years and I kept telling her, ‘All in good time’. I haven’t sung with Susan for a very long time but now America is calling out for that, you never know.”
Gerry, who wears a dinner suit in his album promo shots, said the idea for the single came after he let a New Zealand radio show play the song “for a bit of fun”.
He added: “New Zealand and American women who follow Susan think it’s amazing and think Susan and I should do a song together.”
But one pal said: “Nobody is surprised by this.
“Gerry likes to be the centre of attention. But the fact is, he’s not got the same voice or the same down-to-earth personality as Susan.”
It’s not the first time Gerry has tried to cash in on his sister’s success. In 2009, he launched a music label and held BGT-style auditions.
