Susan Boyle Set For Triumphant Return To Britain’s Got Talent
The BGT runner-up is being lined up to appear in the series finale
Since appearing on Britain’s Got Talent in 2008, Susan Boyle has become a global megastar, selling more than 18 million albums worldwide, and now it has been revealed that BGT boss Simon Cowell is lining up the immensely popular Scottish singer to make a triumphant return the show’s finale.
Originally Susan Boyle suffered a meltdown on the show after losing out to dance troupe Diversity, and her fragile mental stability has caused The Gift singer to struggle with her new-found fame, leading to numerous public breakdowns and a stint in The Priory.
It will be the first time the 51-year-old has returned to Britain’s Got Talent since coming in second place, and after four years, show bosses now feel she is ready to return to the show that changed her life beyond her wildest dreams.
Britain’s Got Talent has had a rocky start to the series, going up against The Voice UK in a bitter ratings battle, that has seen BGT move its viewing time to a later slot to avoid going head-to-head with its BBC rival. It has been reported by The Sun that show bosses hope Susan’s much anticipated return to the show which made her famous will end the series on a ratings high.
A source told The Sun's TV Biz: “Susan is the most successful reality contestant of all time. It will be a huge coup to get her back on the show."
They added: “Fans won’t want to miss her. The Susan that was on the show has changed so much. If they can make the schedules work then it will be unmissable telly.”
