Susan's life story on the stage

Cliffs Pavilion, Southend, Wednesday, May 9 to Saturday, May 12; tickets on 01702 351135 or at www.southendtheatres.org.uk
SHE seemed the most unlikely of stars when she first appeared in Britain's Got Talent three years ago, but Susan Boyle's voice won over both Simon Cowell and the audience, and she was an overnight sensation.
I Dreamed A Dream is the musical based on her life story and she's set to appear in the show when it comes to the Cliffs Pavilion next month.
Susan's appearance will be the first opportunity for people to watch her perform on stage in the UK since the Britain's Got Talent tour of 2009.
"I am thrilled to be a part of the musical about my life story and very much looking forward to stepping on stage and performing with the cast," said Susan.
"It is an honest portrayal of my life and has been a cathartic process to be involved with."
Taking on the lead role of Susan is Elaine C Smith, star of the hit West End play Calendar Girls and best known for her portrayal of Mary Doll in BBC comedy Rab C Nesbitt.
She leads an outstanding cast and orchestra in this moving musical about daring to chase your dreams.
