Susan Boyle gives One Direction her seal of approval
As Susan Boyle launches her fourth album, Standing Ovation, the Scottish singer has been speaking out about the acts she admires, and it’s safe to say this lovely lady has pretty diverse taste!
Susan said: “Well I like the Osmonds, I’m a big fan of Take That. I really like Robbie Williams and his new song.
“I love Elton John and Madonna, she’s still up there as a favourite especially because she’s so good at reinventing herself. She never becomes stale. Those One Direction boys are pretty good as well.”
Susan has performed duets with some of the most famous singers in the world, with Donny Osmond and musical legend Michael Crawford appearing on Standing Ovation.
Although she has realised so many of her dreams, singing with the artists she admires, is there anyone Susan would still like to take to the stage with?
The bubbly Blackburn belter said: “Oh, now that’s a tough one... Who would I like to sing with... I’d like to do a duet with Rod Stewart, I quite like those Mumford and Sons, be good to do something with them or I could go totally crazy and do a duet with someone like Jayz. No one would see that coming now would they?
“I think I could do that, he could rap, I could sing and sing something more up tempo would be fun. But it’s polite to be asked, so I’ll wait and see if I’m asked to sing with them.”
Get them on the phone – who wouldn’t want to sing with Susan?
Susan is set to delight Scottish fans later today [November 20] as she signs copies ofStanding Ovation at HMV in Buchanan Street Glasgow from 5 o’clock.
