Hello,
It’s been a busy and exciting week promoting my latest album, ‘Standing Ovation’, but it’s been great fun and I’d like to share some highlights with you.
Last Saturday I was lucky enough to perform on the National Lottery Show, performing Winner Takes It All.
On Sunday morning it was off to New York to launch my fourth album Standing Ovation.
We arrived at midday and it was lovely to see the familiar faces and red scarves, the flowers they gave me were beautiful.
On Sunday afternoon I went for a walk around Central Park and popped into FAO Schwarz to see the ‘Big Piano’ and then ventured down to Times Square where we went to Toys R Us to buy christmas gifts.

Monday morning, we got up very early to visit The Today Show. It was great to go back to familiar surroundings to perform The Winner Takes It All from the album. When I was in the studio I got the opportunity to meet Robert De Niro. Fantastic! I shook hands with an Oscar winner.
On Monday afternoon I finally managed to go on a horse and carriage ride. I’ve wanted to do this for awhile and on a beautiful, warm, sunny New York afternoon Carl from Ireland and his horse Marchello took us on a lovely trip around the park. It was a perfect way to relax and Lorraine, Nic and Michelle all enjoyed taking a wee bit of a rest as well.
Then I got the chance to visit Tiffany’s on Fifth Avenue and buy some special Christmas gifts for some special people.
Tuesday was back to The View to perform again, it was lovely to see all the ladies again. They are so friendly and welcoming.
Tuesday evening I saw my old pal Piers Morgan again at his CNN show. It was great to have a catch up and hear all his news. He was smarting that I’d said Donny Osmond was my favourite man and teased me about it! Well Donny has been my idol since I was thirteen!
Wednesday, I visited Fox & Friends as well as Sirius Radio, where I got to be a DJ and put my own playlist together. That was great fun and I enjoyed picking out my favourite tracks for my own show.
After finishing the work I got the chance to go to Bloomingdales and do some more shopping. This time it was for myself. I got the chance to buy some lovely clothes and I had so much fun being spoilt by the shop assistants who couldn’t do enough. That is definitely the way to shop!
My team and I then went out for a lovely lunch in New York, La Bonne Soupe on West 55th Street. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting in New York. It was a fantastic restaurant and the food was delicious.
A stroll back to the hotel and there was just enough time to pack up the car and head back to the airport for the flight back to the UK, via duty free of course!

As the saying goes there’s no rest for the wicked and it was straight back to work going to perform on Daybreak and also getting ready for my performance on Children In Need tonight I’m very excited to be returning to this show as it’s such a great cause and also because it’s the first time the UK will hear Somewhere Over The Rainbow, which I love singing. This is one of my favourites.
My album is out on Monday the 19th in the UK and there is still more TV, interviews and promo work to do, but as I keep saying I’m enjoying it a lot more this year and Bring it on! I hope you all enjoy the album.
