THE staff of a Lanark cafe thought they were ‘dreaming a dream’ when one of the world’s biggest-selling music stars, Susan Boyle, walked in the door last week and ordered a fish supper.
The unexpected appearance of Subo last Tuesday evening in Ebi’s on the High Street got camera phones clicking and fans gathering around the unassuming singer from Blackburn, West Lothian, as she and a friend tucked into a fish tea.
Said customer service assistant Geraldine Finlay: “At first we couldn’t believe it was her. Fame hasn’t changed her a bit; she chatted away to everyone and had a laugh with us all.”
