SINGING sensation Susan Boyle looks every inch an old-fashioned girl as she travels back in time to star in her first movie.

The Britain’s Got Talent superstar donned Victorian-era outfits for outdoor scenes on the set of The Christmas Candle.
She is shooting the festive flick in England’s Cotswolds with Les Miserables beauty Samantha Barks, Scots former Doctor Who Sylvester McCoy and ex-Cracker star Barbara Flynn.
The story is set in a rural village during the mid-19th century where nothing ever happens until an angel appears in a candlemaker’s shop.

SuBo — who will also perform the soundtrack — said: “Everyone on set is a joy to work with and I love the period costumes.”
The 51-year-old, from Blackburn, West Lothian, has a body double in the film, below. And she confided her trick to ward off the winter chill.
She said: “I’m wearing long-johns under my bustle.” The film — which also features Scots actors John Hannah and James Cosmo — is due out in cinemas next December.
