The man, who is understood to have died, was given emergency resuscitation and was carried out of the venue in a stretcher to be taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Susan began her performance five minutes late, unaware that a member of the audience had been taken severely ill.

According to the Manchester Evening News, audience members were asked to leave a section of the stalls as ambulance crew administered the emergency procedure.
The performance began at 7.50pm with supporting act Lance Ellington taking to the stage and introducing SuBo to the Manchester audience.
A witness said: 'It was a member of the audience who started the CPR which was then taken over by the paramedics, who arrived within minutes. I've literally never seen an ambulance crew arrive so quickly'

A spokesperson for Bridgewater Hall told MailOnline: 'We can confirm that an audience member was taken ill prior to the start of last night's performance.
'He received first aid at the scene and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The start of the performance was delayed by 5 minutes. We would like to thank audience members for their assistance and concern. We are unable to give any further information.'
The tour opened in Liverpool earlier this month, with Susan opening the show to an audience of thousands.
Susan told the Liverpool Echo ahead of the tour: 'I’ve always wanted to do my own show. I’ve chosen some of my favourite songs from past albums and also new songs that not only have I wanted to perform for years but resonate with me and I hope my fans will love.
'I’m really very excited, the show will be bigger and better than before and I can’t wait for the first show in Liverpool.'

In December 2013, the singer revealed that she had been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome.
A form of Autism, the condition means that sufferers struggle with their emotions and are often unable to pick up on non-verbal cues.
Susan is performing across the UK as part of her first nationwide tour, with dates in 16 cities including Leicester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, London and a sold-out show in Stoke-on-Trent.
