BBC Scotland's Children in Need in full swing

Jackie Bird will host the BBC Scotland part of the TV programme for Children in Need
The BBC's annual charity fundraising marathon - Children in Need - is in full swing.
Across the country, people in fancy dress and Pudsey Bear imposters are raising funds to help young people.
Jackie Bird will host the BBC Scotland part of the TV programme for Children in NeedLast year, Children in Need raised almost £2m in Scotland alone, with all the money going to help children with disabilities, or who need support.
Fundraising includes ceilidhs, marathon cycles in hotel lobbies and toddlers on sponsored hill climbs.
Radio Scotland's coverage kicks off with Macaulay and Co and continues later with Bryan Burnett.
Jackie Bird will host the Scottish end of the TV event at the Pacific Quay studios in Glasgow, where 120 children from the Borders will sing along with choirs from across the UK - one of the highlights of a star-studded programme.
Viewers will also see some of the projects in Scotland which have received CiN funding.
There will be a special focus on a teacher from Ayrshire who for the past 16 years has helped her pupils raise more than £120,000 for Children in Need.
There will also be a look at the work of the Ladybird Developmental Group in Lossiemouth which provides support for pre-school children with additional needs.
In addition to Friday night's TV marathon, BBC Scotland will show a further hour-long programme on Saturday.
It will feature all the best bits from Friday night along with a special performance from Susan Boyle accompanied by the Royal Conservatoire Choir.
Young singing sensation Nina Nesbitt will also be performing and there will be a special fundraising event with some familiar Scottish faces taking on the CiN Cooking Extravaganza with Tom Kitchin.
In aid of CiN, Tom put Kirsty Wark, Sanjeev Kholi, Catriona Shearer, Des Clarke, Susan Calman and James Morton through their paces in his own kitchen.
Split into teams they battled to have their team dish come out on top as they fed a restaurant full of hungry diners.
