SB Honoured at Radio Forth Awards - Posted in STV

Susan Boyle was amongst the famous faces at the Radio Forth Awards
Celebrities and inspirational guests came together to celebrate Radio Forth’s tenth annual awards ceremony.
Hosts Grant Stott and Arlene Stuart welcomed an array of musical stars to the stage, as unsung heroes and people from across Edinburgh, The Lothians and Fife were recognised for their achievements.
BRIT’s Critic’s Choice award winner Tom Odell kicked off the show with his huge single I Know, before Forth One’s Dave Connor got the prize-giving underway, presenting the young singer/songwriter with the Radio Forth Best Performance Award.
Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle was named the Radio Forth Icon, while tennis ace Andy Murray was awarded the Radio Forth Contribution to Sport gong.
JLS not only performed at the event; the talented X Factor stars took the Radio Forth Best Artist Award.
Emotions were running high as Amy MacBeath was awarded the Radio Forth Cash For Kids Award. Amy, who suffers from cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus (a build-up of fluid which can cause pressure and damage to the brain), completed a Triple Challenge this year and a raised over £4000 – a fantastic achievement.
Fife Taekwondo Club were awarded the Radio Forth Community Venture Award, while The Black Bull in Mid Calder took the title of Best Bar / Restaurant.
