Susan at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas on November 17, 2013.

Susan at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas on November 17, 2013.

Sunday morning at about 7:00 am, all dressed up in our Sunday best, we set out for Lakewood Church, which was two blocks from Sheraton Hotel.  We entered through the front and walked, seemed like miles, to the back where we saw other fans waiting at the book store.  Of course, we all greeted and hugged and then the crowd grew.  As we waited, we could hear Susan's magnificent voice through the media system, while she was rehearsing.  Meanwhile, I was trying a few of the doors to see if I could get inside to see her.  No luck!  All locked up.

A little after 8:00 AM, we were escorted to the front of the stage. About six rows back.  In front of us were Rick Santorum and his family, Tom Newman and many members of his family and people who were instrumental in the production of The Christmas Candle.  Amy Wells, Candice Lee and others in their family were right in front of us.  When you look at pictures of that gigantic hall, we are tiny little dots at the front of the stage.  I couldn't help gawking all around, up and down, there were so many people there.  I was told it was the Houston Rockett basketball team stadium a while back.  It was very beautiful with lighted sky pictures over the stage and giant screens on both sides and above us.  Also all around us.   People everywhere!

Susan was escorted on to the stage in the dark, just before she started to sing There was a big introduction of The Christmas Candle and of her introducing the "Miracle Hymn" song and then her.  The lights went up and their she was. This beautiful, tiny, demure super singing star, right in front of us!  Wow!!! Then she started to sing. The place erupted in spontaneous cheers  Oh my, a lot of us had tears in our eyes and some down their face.  She sang "Miracle Hymn". Spectacular!

Susan sang  "O Come All Ye Faithful" and the video of Elvis was shown on the giant screens, the children came out to sing along with her. Glorious!

Susan's last song was "You Raised Me UP" and would you believe everything was so quiet. WOW!!!!!  The music filled the stadium to the rafters.  The hush of the crowd told the story of how Susan sings.  Everyone stood up and cheered after each song.  Surreal!

The fan group stayed for the two services and were mesmerized each time. Just about every seat was taken at the 11:00 AM services.  The seats at a slant, way up top were filled.  Every time the choir sang a song, I kept looking up and watched the swaying and singing up there, wondering how they built that huge structure.  It was amazing to see this.   The entire morning was a continuous charming program, highlighted by Ms. Susan Boyle singing her most heart warming, beautiful songs.

(See pictures of concert below.  More pictures later, as my battery ran out)
