Susan Boyle returns to school to share world premiere of Christmas single video with co-star pupils

SUSAN BOYLE'S adorable young co-stars got to see themselves in her Christmas single music video for the first time yesterday.
The Scots singer, who filmed a nativity play with 120 pupils at St Rose of Lima School in Glasgow’s east end last month, returned for the world premiere of the video for her duet with legend Elvis Presley.
And the children loved the black-and-white film for O Come, All Ye Faithful so much they watched it twice.
It ends with Susan cuddling little Ellie-May Healy, who plays a snow fairy – and yesterday there was plenty more time for cuddles as the three-year-old and Rhys Smith, who stars as Elvis, enjoyed their moment in the limelight.
Confident Rhys, five, said: “Susan’s really nice. I’ve met her loads of times and she’s a really good singer.”
It was Susan’s fifth visit to the Garthamlock school – and she vowed to return again at the end of the month to watch their Christmas play, Annie.
The music video was filmed in secret over three days in October.
The charity single, which uses digital technology to blend Presley’s voice with Susan’s, is already at No2 in the pre-order Christmas charts even though it’s only released on December 8.
Susan said: “I’m on top of the world. This is what it’s all about. I love being with the children. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and it feels good.
“I’m hoping for a Christmas No1 to get the money rolling in for Save the Children but also for the kids.
“They deserve it and worked very hard. I think it will really boost their confidence.”
