THE fairytale continued last night for Scots singing sensation Susan Boyle as she kicked off her very first live tour in Inverness in spectacular style.
Boyle turned the heat up right from the start, gaining a standing ovation from the sell-out crowd as she first appeared, and it was repeated several times over until her very last song of the night, I dreamed a dream, which shot her to fame on Britain’s Got Talent four years ago.
Any fears of the 52-year-old phenomenon showing signs of stage fright were quickly quashed as she belted out hit after hit, from Elaine Paige to Tina Turner as well as some jazz and even a song by Rabbie Burns, Ae Fond Kiss.
