Dreaming of seeing the musical? Here's a taster

The musical 'I Dreamed A Dream', the story of Susan Boyle’s life, is having its world premiere in Newcastle.

The Theatre Royal on Grey Street is hosting the show which includes a guest appearance by the singer herself in the finale.
It stars Elaine C Smith as Susan, an actress better known as Mary Doll in the TV series 'Rab C Nesbitt'.
The play follows the former reality TV star from a three-bedroom council flat in Scotland where she lived with nine members of her family, to the global stardom she has experienced since her audition on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.
Ms Smith told Sky Tyne and Wear: "It is hard playing a real person. We are from similar backgrounds though and I’ve made her a mix of me and Susan and every woman.
"I haven’t sat and studied her mannerisms though. It’s a portrayal of her, not an imitation."
