Family tree ... Susan Boyle
Susan Boyle in riddle on Irish flit
Published: 17th March 2012
SUSAN Boyle has revealed she may swap Scotland for Ireland.
Singing sensation SuBo has ties to Buncrana, Co Donegal, and her grandparents married in Londonderry.
But Susan, 50 — whose life story musical I Dreamed a Dream opens next week — believes her Irish ancestry goes back further.
She said: "Someone gave me a family tree.
"It's a mystery but I have Celtic blood going back to the 1850s and would love to know more."
Asked if she'd move to Ireland Susan, of Blackburn, West Lothian, said: "There's a big question mark over that. Nobody knows the future."
Her neighbours don't want her to leave. Pal Brian Smith, 54, said: "It would be terrible if she left."
But Donegal pub owner Martin Gallagher, 42, said: "If she's looking for someone, I'm single."
